It's not too bad, a bit of a cheesy horror film, with nice monsters (x2) and lots of worms (nasty little buggers that you would not like to met).

theres 5 boys in the movie, although they're only seen as memory flash backs, and don't have a lot of screen time, but the first scene (or was it the second?) is the only shirtless scene in the movie and its not quite a pleasant one either.

so if ya like horrors that are cheesy, with monsters (and worms), and a few cute boy scenes, then this is right up your street Smiley

I'd give the movie 6/10 and boy content 4/10

Hmm, the review on BOYS suggested the movie sucked big time.

always prefer Stephen Kings work in the book form, but if the movie is worth watching, i`ll take a look when it surfaces in this part of the world.

This movie gets a bad review in the New Yorker as well, from David Denby.  He doesn't mention any of the boys once, though.  Odd !  I'll still go and see it because it sounds pretty good.  I must admit that I'm more influenced by the B.O.Y.S. poster than the magazine reviewer, so it's a pity they appear to agree.

I wasted 2 CD's to watch it Sad

note the word wasted, well not really wasted, I guess one of the boys was worth the 50p or so the disks cost, I would not go to the movies to watch it though.

Hosenhaus, you beat me to it. Smiley

As I said in another thread, I'm working on a full set of caps for this movie.

As I also said in that other thread, this is probably the worst Stephen King movie ever. Teddy was very generous in his rating. I give it about 2/10 for the movie as a whole, and I guess about 4/10 for boy content (only two or three flashbacks).

I'm assuming by various comments that this movie is not worth profiling...  for two reasons...  minimal boy content....  crap movie.   Correct?

The caps are nice though..

so can we ID the young actors  Smiley

I'd say in total there must be about 15 or 20 minutes of flashbacks in the movie.

To ID the actors:

The boy with the glasses is Reece Thompson.

The blond boy with the curley hair is Mikey Holekamp.
The redhead is Giacomo Baessato.
And the guy with the short hair in the last pic is Andrew Robb.

Also featured in the flashbacks is Joel Palmer, not seen in these caps.

Reece and Joel are both older than I thought they were. There's no birthdate for the other actors on IMDb.

Well, what did you think of the "original ending" on the DVD?

I didn't bother checking the special features cause I thought the movie sucked so much.

Did I miss anything good?

Those are good caps, josephk.  Smiley

Actually, after seeing your caps, and after a friend of mine who's seen Dreamcatcher said that he liked it and there was a boy in it that he thought I'd like, I've decided that I'll check it out for sure.  Smiley

Oh, your Guest Gallery was great, too! Thanks for sharing that. :bigok:

Thanks Joseph...  very nice caps...

..as are the ones from Shark Net...   me thinks I know who they are from..  I recognize the style.  Smiley

I might as well do a profile for both movies...  even though 'Shark Net' aired in 3 x 60min episodes..  It's really a movie IMO.  I'll include it in the Movie index rather than the TV series index...  and I'll do the same for any mini series that is of 'movie length'. Shows like this don't sit well alongside Baywatch and the Brady Bunch.

Might as well do a profile for Dreamcatcher as well.
