There is a trailer and quite a few pics on the site, as well as other info including a poorly translated 'synopsis'.

This film looks like a must see..

If anyone can find a decent synopsis of approximately 120 words I'd appreciate it. We need one for the movie's profile.

The music from the movie that they shared at the official site reminds me of the music that they play during the 'Mystere' show by Cirque de Soliel at the Treasure Island casino in Las Vegas.  I like it.  Smiley

I think I'd like this movie, too.  It makes a political statement, but from a personal point-of-view, with the children's stories being the focus.  The scenery in it looks like it would be great, too.

You're right; that translation into English on the website was definitely flawed.  But, on the other hand, I was sure glad to have it to read, and it's a very well-done site.  Smiley

Thanks for sharing this one, Cal.

Love,
Sir J

This movie has already been shown at the Palm Springs International film festival, a pretty prestigious event, so I have hopes of further US exposure.

Thanks for posting the pictures, cal.

This is avalable at Netflix. Their review: Set in the Peruvian Andes during the chaotic 1980s, this tense drama follows a group of paramilitary guerillas trying to survive in the midst of a bloody civil war. It's the incredible (and incredibly frightening) coming-of-age story of a youngster named Juan (Antonio Callirgos) who struggles to survive poverty, corruption and violence when Shining Path guerrillas sweep through his town and forcibly recruit him into their ranks.
