Here's a film I'll be watching for this year.
The Last Summer will be premiering next Friday at the Palm Beach International Film Festival. The description from their website is Set in 1981, The Last Summer tells the story of a 12 year old boy and the first summer after his mother's death. Joel helps his family come to terms with thier sudden loss while spending the last summer of his youth with the best friends he will ever know.

The film stars Corey Jackson as Joel in his debut. Other boys known to be in the cast are Justin Douglas, Rusty Deats, and Joseph Ragusa from Return To Innocence.

Thanks for mentioning this one, Zab.  I'd like to see it, too.   Smiley

I went to IMDb and looked it up, to find out more about it, and to the official website (the film clips wouldn't work for me, though  Shocked ).  I was wondering how this guy who had commented on it at IMDb was able to see it already  ??? :

Date: 13 August 2002
Summary: A great film for Gen-X'ers - beautiful storytelling.

Following Joel through his adventurous summer in the early 80's, especially if you are an early gen-x'er, is very fun and is told through creative and beautiful visuals. Capturing the innocence and ever-occurring discovery of approaching teenhood is executed gracefully. A must-see!</i>

Then I looked at the combined details for the film, though, and I saw this:

Do you think he was giving an unbiased opinion?   Grin

Love,
