Another movie worth keeping an eye out for. Due for release in France Oct 2005.

There was a six part mini series of "Jacquou le croquant" way back in 1969. The character of Jacquou did grow up into a man about halfway through episode 4. Most of the first 4 episodes dealt
with Jacquou as a child, played by Eric Damain:
