Wow I seen lots of movies but never could remember name of all of them.  I cant believe lists of movies so big.  I seen a bunch of movies on lists and I like Joseph say he dont like Disneys the Kid or Digger bcause I didnt like neither either.

I didnt like Stand by me very much but I really like chess movie Search for Bobby Fisher.  Its very very good.

My favorite movies not in no order favorite are Peter Pan, Forest Gump, Big, Parenthood, Second best, Old Yeller, Oliver, Pollyanna, One Little Indian, Kolya, Sixth Sense, Back to School, Searching for bobby Fisher, Tarzan of Apes, Message in a bottle, Tom Sawyer, Huck Finn, Sleepless in Seattle, Education little tree, Yearling, My side of mountain, Dennis the menace, Munchie, Lord of the rings, Better off dead, Castaway, Blue lagoon, Secret of my success, My fathers glory, What about bob, Honeysuckle Rose, Titanic, Whats eating gilbert grape, Pelle, Doc Hollywood, Shadrach, Forever Young, Funny farm, Paradise, Witches, Greedy.

I like couple very old movies too . One is called, Safe At Home and boy hides in locker room all night so he can meet Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris.  And I like old movie Doctor Doolittle not new one.

Many more movies I seen but cant remember all names.   My friend Josh say all I do is watch movies but its not true.

Oh I like two movies with name Josh in them . One is Josh and Sam and other is Joshuas heart.  Both very good.  I got lot of dvds but dont know I seen so many moveis since I was nine or eight.

I forgot Running on Empty a old movie I like lots too.

bye for now.

That may explain why I hadn't heard of some of your picks, Jasen.  Grin

But I think Munchie is on the bottom of my rental queue at Netflix now. Tell me what you like about it.

Jasen....   that's a pretty good list and a pretty good range of movies.

I'm glad this thread was bumped back to the top... It has reminded me to update my own list and post it.

It's difficult trimming it down to a couple of hundred movies though...

Speaking of Munchie...

I just bought it (VHS) over the holidays for 50 cents! It looks like a very cheesy movie, but at that price you can't really go wrong. I haven't watched it yet.

Munchie is funny.  I liked it bcause I saw it when I was about 8 or 9 and I liked munchie how he always helped the boy when he needed help.  He got protected from bullies.  I wish there were no bullies in the world to pick on littler kids.

Very interesting lists. I'am very impressed, because I have seen a certain number amongst these films, but I'am unable to class them as you did. I like some of them very much, less some others, but it would be impossible for me to choice between many of them.

I noticed I have got near 70 amongst the list of Josephk and near 50 amongst the list of Zabladowski. But with the titles you gave in general in english, maybe I have forgot some for which I only know the french title.

It's a pity you didn't show your lists a few weeks ago, Santa Clauss has gone off, now.  Wink

Yeah, it takes a special kind of obsessive-compulsive personality to generate this kind of list. Of course, it's not completely accurate. It's impossible to put so many movies in order from favourite to least favourite. Sometimes the order is almost arbitrary. But it does give you an idea of my tastes, and I really have fun doing these types of lists.

As for posting it a few weeks earlier... actually, I posted this list sometime in September. It was just burried somewhere in the archives. Thank Jasen for bringing it back to our attention. Smiley

I decided to give it a shot. This is the longest list of anything I have compiled in years, so note this date. Grin I list a top 100 rather than a top 150. I noticed a certain bias for older movies at the top of my list; early favorites make a lasting impression, I guess. These are the ones I enjoyed the most, weighted mostly for overall quality but the 'cute boy' factor shows up often, as in my placement of 'Indian In The Cupboard' for example.

1. Great Expectations ('46)
2. Color of Paradise
3. Searching For Bobby Fisher
4. How Green Was My Valley
5. Night of The Hunter ('55)

Wow. This is a great thread.

I have seen 133 movies from josephk's top 150 and 91 from Zabladowski's.  I'll attempt to make my own list in a few days.  Just want to say it's always good to see serious film buff  around Smiley

Oh, I forgot to reply to this thread.

Good list, Jasen. You've got some cool movies in there.

Zhizhi > I'm impressed that you've seen so many movies from my list. I'd be very interested in seeing your own list, so feel free to post it here anytime.

And welcome to BA.

I hadn't forgotten to reply, I just needed to have enough time to properly look through our new lists.

YA, congratulations on your achievement  Grin
I have seen 87 of your 100, but not your #1.  Shocked
The Other is a film on your list I wish I could have found room for on mine. It's a low profile film that would be more popular if more people had seen it.

Jasen, I have seen 53 of your 69, 54 if I have seen Paperboy, was that a horror film? Homecoming is probably my favorite from your list that didn't make mine although I will get to see Munchie in the next week or two.... Smiley

Zhizhi,
The more the merrier, I can't wait to see your list.

Zabladowski... no "Paper boy" was not a horror movie.  It was Australia 1985.  It was in a new topic post about two week ago.  Mabey three week.s.

Movie is differnt than United states film Paperboy.
