And yes, these are from the exact series you named.

I made many more caps, but they are only 1 or 2 frames apart, so you have to look very closely to see the difference.

Hope you will be able to use a few of these!

Thanks!  I'll be able to use most of them.  I'll make it into a feature and it should be online next week.

You're very welcome, glad I was able to help a little.

I'm sure I have some more caps I've made, on the same theme....lemme look through them and see what I can come up with.

I spend a lot of time making caps, but I am very bad about putting names on them, so it takes me a llittle time to find the ones I want!

Oh, and that was my favorite episode of ER, by the way!!

The latest editon of THE DARKSIDE OF BOYS is online with two new editions:

"Zecherniy Zvon" about growing up in a small Russian village right after WWII:

Those of you familiar with the skinny dipping scene in the Mexican film, "La Ultima Batalla," should appreciate this.  There's a very similar sequence.

In "Clay Farmers," a pair of farmhand's attempt to give comfort to an abused boy is misinterpreted.

VECHERNIY ZVON is one that I want to see...  I hope it turns up on the World Movies channel..  it's the sort of film they like to show.

I'm very puzzled about the punishment for skinny dipping though.  In those days it was a very common and very acceptable occurrence for boys to skinny dip...  even more so in Russia.    ???

I have to say the treatment of these boys was very harsh in several instances.  Not being able to understand Russian, I may have missed some things.  For example, the fire chief (who was probably also a Communist Party official) was likely po'd at the kids, correctly suspecting they were the ones who set off a bomb outside the town one night, and their public humiliation for skinny dipping may have been his way of exacting revenge.
Also, their interrogation for items found in their "club house" seemed very cruel considering these were just young boys.  Were these things supposed to be stolen or in some way unpatriotic?  Once again, English subtitles would have been helpful.

I'm bewildered as to why all countries don't include English subs on their DVD releases...  it would open up a HUGE market for them..

Thanks for doing the caps BTW.

Very nice job on the site! Sorry to be so late in telling my thanks; I've been getting monitor headaches lately. Many of those fine caps are totally new to me.

The weekly update of DSOB is online with Mike Z's ER pics and some caps from Plainsong in which Mike Hazen and Cody Arens are stripped by bullies.  However, because the movie was made for US network tv, it's only partial (unlike the novel).

Now THAT'S the way to travel, with a naked boy sharing your saddle!

Thanks for the update on DSOB.

I've got both those movies and we've got them on our database as well...

El Topo is very violent and very bizarre but certainly interesting and rather 'unique'... worth a gander but not recommended for the squeamish or anti-nudity brigade.

Undertow is also pretty weird but nice to look at. Devon Alan is a very good looking boy.

Currrent Update of THE DARKSIDE OF BOYS:

Master and Commander:The Far Side of the World with Max Perkis as a young midshipman whose courage is sorely tested.

(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

Btw, Max will be featured in the New HBO series, Rome.  This pic, however, is from MC and Max is on the right.

(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

Also, featured in this week's DSOB is an episode from the popular new medical series, House.  In "Cursed," Daryl Sabara is sticken with a mysterious, life-threatening illness after a ouija board predicts his imminent death.

(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

David Henrie is also in the episode, but I left him out because His character appears only at the beginning and is not that important.  I'd have much preferred David to be the patient rather than Daryl, who I don't care for.

I like Daryl, but David is definutely a better actor.  They had him being a prick to Daryl in the opening scene. anf I think DH usually plays a better nice guy than a prick.
