I was impressed by some of the other Thomas Curtis roles (Back When We Were Adults, The Chumscrubber).  So I got a look at The Cactus Kid.  Unlike these others, Thomas has a major role here.  And it is a lot of fun.

A boy is a fan of a comic book series, "The Cactus Kid", about an outlaw in the Old West who robbed banks, but used the money to help people.  The boy's parents are divorced, he lives with his mother, his father is a cop.

When it seems the boy is terminally ill, his father (a bit drunk) promises the boy whatever he wants.  The boy says he wants to rob a bank, like the Cactus Kid.  What is the father to do now?
