Joey and Lenny don’t realize how much they love each other. Like so many siblings, they fight often.
Each brother sometimes wishes the other were dead.
One day both boys are forced to discover what it might really feel like if this wish came true. They emerge from this experience of having to contemplate loss with a new appreciation of the strength and depth of the powerful bond that connects them.

With his father (Peter Dinklage) in jail and his mother (Justina Machado) working long hours at a nursing home, Lenny, age 11, is burdened with the responsibility of looking after his younger brother, Joey, age 7. Lenny plays a practical joke on his little
brother. When the joke goes too far, Joey runs away to Coney Island.
Lenny searches for Joey. As night falls and Joey does not return, Lenny fears the worst. He regrets his actions and becomes more and more desperate to find his little brother—alive and unharmed.
Nicolas Salgado and David Castro star as the two brothers. The film is set in present day Brooklyn.

nicolas....

I've moved this thread to the Movie Reviews Forum, where it will have a more permanent home and can be linked to from the Database when a profile is created for the movie.

It's best to put such previews, that is ones that contain synopsis, and pics in this forum because they are easier to find.

I've seen the version made in the 50's...   it is a relatively little known film and it's likely that most people who see the new version will not have seen the original. A rather positive thing to see such a movie being remade... but I hadn't heard abot this one till now which probably means it's not up to par. However I certainly hope otherwise.

The original 1953 version:

Not in my book.

This is one of the 10 worst remakes of all time!
