This film is listed under Léo Legrand's credit's..... but no listing for the film itself exists in our data-base as of yet.

There are 35 or so screen caps ready in the gallery submission, if we can add this one.

Thanks in advance.  It's really a special film.

Doh!  Sad

I had the opportunity to see this a few months back and passed on it figuring that most of the film would center on Jacqou as an adult.

On to the wish list it goes on your recommendation.

He is a child for at least the first half of the movie, probably even longer.

And the ending of this movie is so great, (even the adult parts will keep you glued to it), because it's really remarkable.

It's so great to find a film starring a great boy actor, that has an incredible story from start to finish.  The plot isn't unique as it's been done in many other ways, but it's special in its own right.

Why not go and rate the film now that it exists in the database, Nic?!

I've had a copy of this film in my possession for a little over a week now and haven't had time to watch it yet. But I will soon. Maybe tomorrow. Looking forward to it.

You likely won't be disappointed, Joseph.  Naturally, the movie shines because of the presence as well as the acting of Léo Legrand.  But the second half of this film is excellent as well.

Without giving anything away, the only downside to this film was the 'loyalty' of his friends, even into adulthood.  This isn't an uncommon theme in movies, but sometimes it's a bit overboard, and in this story it's no exception.

However, the ending was unpredictable, and combined with the presence of Léo, makes it one of the few personal favorites.

Hope you enjoy it as well.

I just finished watching it.

I see what you mean about the loyalty thing. I got really tired of hearing crowds constantly chant out his name. Enough already...

I thought it was all right. I don't really like that style of filmmaking, so I was predisposed to not like it. I definitely enjoyed the first half more than the second.

I only gave it a 6/10. But keep in mind that our rating systems seem to differ quite a bit. You sometimes criticize films heavily and still give them an 8, whereas I consider an average film a 5 or a 6.

Smiley I saw again this movie. I very liked the play of Léo LEGRAND in part of 8 years old Jacquou. My movie rating is 7/10.
