Is it true that a forum search now always results in:

Error 500 - Internal server error

An internal server error has occured!

You're right. I just tried it and I get the same error. I usually just use the quick search box in the upper right hand corner. I assumed that was a general search for the whole forum. But maybe not?

The upper right finds only one result.  Maybe the most recent one?

It seems the error comes with "all posts" or "year" as the time.
"3 months" is OK.  So, is there a fault in the database some time before 3 months ago?

My guess is that there's such a lot of data to search through when you select more than 3 months that the process takes too long on the server and it times out.

Whilst it's not completely fixed, the search now works better - longer time period searches work better. I've had not had any problems with searches over the last year's posts, and some success with searches of all posts (not I've still had some server errors). I think it may depend on whether the search finds the maximum results (15 results) quick enough before the server times out...
