This movie is fun.  There are five stories (with five directors), all taking place in New Year's Eve, across Russia.  This guy

She snubs him because she has eyes only for that handsome bully (played by some over-the-hill Russian kid actor)

She has told many lies about her non-existent father, and now, in order to keep from being humiliated, she must get the President to include a code phrase in his New Year's Eve televised message to the nation.  Vova brings out the "six degrees of separation" theory to try to make it work ...
