I said "dated", but I wouldn't want a remake.

Me either! remakes just don't do the originals any justice! most of the time!

Bowser! I was hoping you at some point, had seen the movie, "The Greatest Gift" if memory serves on the title, It starred Glenn Ford I think, as a Preacher trying to raise his son to be meek, and to turn the other cheek! the son was played by Lance Kerwin I think! I saw it in my teen years, which was in the 1970's.

My question to you is, Am I correct on the title and the stars!? Smiley

Also, I was remembering a commercial from the 70's, it was a Kodak commercial the was hosted by Michael Landon, it was called 'Precious Moments' I believe, and there was a darling little blonde haired boy in it, and I always wondered years later if that boy was a VERY young Ricky Schroder!
Can you shed some light on this for me please?! Smiley

Yes you are right!  That film was The Greatest Gift (1974).   A very good made-for-tv film
with Lance Kerwin, though a little depressing.

Michael Landon did a lot of Kodak commercials, some of them with his real life son, Chris.  That's
probably who you are thinking of.

Ricky Schroder also did some Kodak commercials, but I don't remember him together with
Michael Landon in the same one.

Ahh. . . the good ole days of real Kodak film. . .

The good old days of Wet print photography!
everything today is like , God give me patience, I want it NOW!

Thank you so much for the info! I was hoping Ricky was in some of those commercials! Smiley

And I'm gonna start looking for that movie too.
