Does anyone know if the Astrid Lindgren films (not Pippi Longstocking, but other movies) are available on dvd anywhere with either English or French?  Preferably with the soundtrack in either language, but even with sub-titles it would be okay.

It seems that several years ago, a couple of them were available at the CVMC site, but they were vhs quality-type films with subtitles added by a non-pro.

Just wondering if there might be a factory released collection in some country that could have an English or French option on the voice or sub-titles.

Checking Amazon (US), I find on region 1 DVD with at least English subtitle:

on DVD: Brenda Brave

on DVD but out of print: Mio in the Land of Faraway

plus pages of Pippi, pages of region 2 no English, and a few VHS.

Not that I'm aware of. The Scandinavian DVD and Blu-ray releases don't have English subtitles. There are German DVD releases which generally have German subtitles (although the two Noisy Village films just have a German dub, together with the Swedish soundtrack).

There are English subtitles available here for a few of them, including:
