Thanks, 'Lord Doctor' for these great pics of Samuel Joslin. I also agree with 'bowser' that the pic of him in 'The Nostalgist' is really nice. 'The Cooke Look (anamorphic)' - whatever that is - suits this pleasing boy.

This image is so amazing!

It looks like you could just lean into the photograph,
reach around behind Samuel, and grab the teddy bear.

The colors are spectacular!

The 'Cooke Look' is an aesthetic look, a particular character given to an image by
Cooke Cine Lenses.

But to be fair, there are many variables that go into making
a spectacular moving picture image like the one above.

Cooke primes add a certain look, but, let's give credit where
credit is due.  Other contributing factors to a stunning image:

The Director and his vision of the scene
The DP and his lighting skills
The Set Designer
The Wardrobe person
The Hair and make-up person
The Colorist
The acquisition medium, in this case RED EPIC
and last but certainly not least, the subject of this fantastic image,
Samuel Joslin

Here's some behind-the-scenes photos from
The Nostalgist (2014) as the camera assistant attaches a
Vintage Cooke Anamorphic lens (circa 1970) onto
his modern RED camera.

Got to see Samuel Joslin in Paddington (2014)

He is not the main character in the film, but he still
has a great part.
