'The Cure' revisited..

Looking back, I can see that 'The Cure' has been commented on & its emotional impact.  I saw the movie again recently & was crying before I even got to that ending with the shoe thing, which wiped me out totally.  What a touching & beautiful portrayal of boy loyalty and friendship.
And 'A Christmas Story, which is hard to miss this time of year:  That movie is priceless for so many reasons, one of which is that my own boyhood falls almost into the timeframe of the story & I can see my boy self walking thru that neighborhood, so wonderfully depicted in its details.

I also love to watch Scott Schwartz who seems to get cuter and more appealing every time I see the movie, with those devilish bright eyes & cute grin.

This is easily one of my all time favourite movies.  No matter how many times I've seen it, it still chokes me up.

Saw this movie not long ago.

The theme of love for a friend was powerful.

"The Cure" is available on DVD in the US and Canada.  And not very expensive, either...I got mine for the ridiculously low price of $6 from deepdiscountDVD.com .   If you're not in North America I think you'd have to import it and figure out a way to watch a Region 1 NTSC DVD, but some things are worth the effort.  Smiley

There are many places where you can find a VHS copy, either new or used.  Check out Amazon.com and their marketplace stores, or search Google for "The Cure" VHS Renfro.  The "Renfro" reference will help get rid of all the irrelevant concert tapes from the British rock band.  Smiley

Very nice cap YA,

Is that wine   ???

Looks more like a cup of tea. It's been some time since I've watched this movie.
