Thoughts on this movie?

Spoilers may be below, so don't read until you see the movie...

There is a post on (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links) about it.  Basically it said that Liam A. was not in it very much (nanosecond) and the other boy was ok.  If you empathize with boys on the screen then it might be a hard picture to watch.  I have not seen it but I did hear a sound clip on the radio this morning and I can see why that comment was made on BOYS.  There is a promo pic of Liam posted in a reply of the post.

I saw the theatrical trailer and the TV spot. The film itself doesn't look all that great. Could be a hit or a miss, for me. But the boy who plays Tom Hank's son (Tyler Hoechlin), one of the major characters, looks like he does a great job. There are a few pics of him on IMDb. Liam plays his younger brother. We did see him briefly in the trailer, but I think St Mule is right that his is only a minor role. (Too bad!)

Don't say "too bad"...

Tyler Hoechlin as the 12-year-old does a great job.  It is about a 6-week road trip he takes with his father (Tom Hanks), and how they get to know each other during that time.

It is set in the 1930's gangster world, so there is plenty of violence.
