Bio:

Andrew Sandler stars as the title character of Crystal Skies' "The Million Dollar Kid," the story of a boy who wins the lottery, but whose family misplaces the ticket. Richard Thomas and Maureen McCormick play Andrew's parents in the film.

Thirteen year old Andrew, an avid sportsman, loves running the field with his soccer team (on which he is a top scorer), pounding the courts with his basketball team, and surfing with his Jr. Lifeguard squad.

Starting his acting career at the age of nine, Andrew quickly booked three short films. He made his feature film debut starring as "Tommy," a boy who grows to be disillusioned about a once-idolized friend, in the award-winning film "The Howling Leopard." More recently, Andrew portrayed the role of young "Jake," a boy who is suffering from ADD who's mother is addicted to the very medication he is supposed to be taking on the ABC series "Gideon's Crossing." He has also appeared in a number of national commercials, including ads for "Polaroid," "Washington Mutual Bank" and a series of spots for "Animal Planet."

Born and raised in California, brown-eyed Andrew lives with his parents, and his little brother and sister. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys riding his bike with neighborhood friends, swimming in his pool, and roughhousing with his brother and sister. He also loves to go camping with his family, especially going on hikes with his father and brother.

Although Andrew thoroughly enjoys his work as an actor, some of his favorite memories are "off-camera," such as when he and the cast of the "Animal Planet" spots got into a water fight, and playing football with the crew of "The Million Dollar Kid" between takes.

Andrew hopes to one day work in a film with his favorite actor, Tom Cruise, and to drive his own Lamborghini Diablo- as soon as he's old enough. When he and his family go out for dinner, Andrew's restaurant of choice is Tony Roma's.
