Haven't seen it yet. AFAIK it has only played in Canada, not in the US.

Boy actors are Linus Nord and Eric Lager.

Movie is available on DVD at (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

doesn't appear to have English subs on the DVD.

I have the DVD R2 but haven't had the time to watch it yet. No English subtitles just like Zabladowski said.  Undecided

Will write a review and post some caps once I've watched it.

Well, finally I had the time to watch this movie!  Smiley And I must say that it was worth watching. The Swedes again show that they can make wonderful movies.

The story is about 9-yo Simon whose life is taking a wrong turn when his mother gets befriended with, as he later finds out,  the father of Alex: a boy who bullies him at school. And it gets even worse when their parents decide to live together. This doesn't mean that Alex stops bullying him: even in his own house now Simon doesn't feel safe anymore.

In the course of the movie Simon finds out what is bothering Alex and finally he manages to overcome his fears, help Alex and by doing so become friends.

Like almost every Swedish children's movie Lejontämjaren has a serious undertone and a well developed storyline. It shows the problems and frustrations children are faced with when parents decide to split up and divorce. Yet Lejontämjaren is also an entertaining movie, like the fight with waterguns in the supermarket between the two adults and the two boys.

Good acting by Eric Lager (Simon) and Linus Nord (Alex). Watch this movie if you have the chance, too bad though that there were no English subtitles available on the R2 DVD. Available through (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)
