I saw Christopher Pettiet in a movie (made-for-tv?) from 1991 today, and knew the face as I was watching, but didn't realize who it was for sure until the credits rolled at the end.  That made me sad, because I remembered what I'd read here at BA about his death from an overdose at a young age.  Sad

I just wanted to start a thread here, in case anyone else has info that they'd like to share about this beautiful boy who appeared in a few movies that you might have seen when he was young.  He had a great smile in the movie I saw today, Fatal Exposure, in a scene where he scored a goal while playing soccer near the end of the movie.  Smiley

He certainly had the looks....

I wonder how highly he would have been regarded in the acting department as he got older?

How beautiful he was.  I saw Chris only in 'Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead.'

Those are pretty good caps, josephk. At least you got some with his teeth showing. Smiley

If anyone could get ahold of that Fatal Exposure movie, there were some real good scenes with him, and he looked his best in it, for sure. He had a cute little brother in the movie, too.  Smiley

To All:

I believe that he was a great actor, but have you noticed that there aren't many fansites for him at all? There are only like a couple of memorials for him and that's all. I feel the greatest sympathy for him since he had to take on drugs to cure his problems. Hmmmm....Well, may he rest in peace with many fans honoring and admiring him that he never even knew. I mean, I didn't have the faintest clue that he had died until three days ago when I stumbled upon a memorial for him when I was searching for more info about him since he was such a talented actor.

I mean, do you like him w/ blond or dark hair like this better?

Hi, whillenwolf, it's good to have you with us here at BoyActors.  Smiley

Thanks for posting the great pic of Christopher Pettiet!  I hadn't seen any of him with dark hair, but I agree with you that it's a very good look for him!

I'm sorry you couldn't find more sites that featured him in your search, but I was afraid that would be the case.  It's good that we're talking about him still, and remembering how he shared his talents with us when he was young.  That's the good thing about appearing in films for many of these youngsters, since they'll always be remembered by those who get to see them in the years to come, in the movies they've made.  We sure won't forget Christopher here at BA.

Love,
Sir J

Josephk's pictures from Point Break reminded me that while I was watching this movie on its release and saw Christopher selling the surfboards, I was dumbstruck for the next ten minutes:  I just could not believe it was possible for a human being to be that awesomely beautiful.  Christopher was also in a movie about a bird ?  the Goodbye Bird ?  (too lazy to check it out); that TV movie is well worth anyone's time and showed what a spectacularly handsome teen he grew into.

So, is Christopher Pettiet an only child or does he have any brothers or sisters that are in the acting business? Well, I'm just curious. RIP Pettiet!
Smiley Oh yeah, has anyone seen a Christopher Pettiet LOOKALIKE? I don't think there even is one cause he is really unique. Well, that is only my opinion, but yeah, reply!  Grin

Hi again, whillenwolf.  :wavey:

It's good to see you again.  I'm not sure I can think of a "look-alike" for Christopher, either, though.  There are a lot of great-looking kids out there, but he really was something special, wasn't he?  Smiley

If I think of a boy that I think looks like him, I'll try to post a pic here.

Love,
Sir J

Hey Sir Jacob  Cheesy,
Thank you for replying. Anyways, lol, Pettiet is one of a kind. RIP, hmmmm... if the Harry Potter movies were made when he was about 17, (just hypothetically I mean I know that the books probably haven't even come out that early) wouldn't he be a good candidate for Draco Malfoy? Lol, if you share my opinion, then yay! Lol, bye!

I think he would have made a fine Draco Malfoy.  Smiley

Did you ever find out if he has any brothers or sisters?  I never did check on that.  It would be nice if he had a younger brother who got into acting, though.  I discovered him kind of late, but would be a dedicated fan of a younger version who might come into our movie lives again.   Wink

Good to see you again, Whillenwolf.

Love,
Sir J
