Well, I just saw "Summer of the Monkeys." Lol, it came out years ago, but I didn't have the time before. Once that I've seen it, I'm obsessed with the main actor , Corey Sevier. Wow, he is a talented actor. Right now, he's about 19 years old. That's really a big change because in SOM, he was only about 14-ish. Well, enjoy and reply!  Grin

"Corey landed on this Earth on July 3, 1984.  A model from the age of 6 months after winning a baby contest, and a bonafide actor since he turned 6, he has achieved at a very young age what many box office heavyweights yearn for -- a starring roles in both television and film.
He played the lead role of Timmy, the young boy devoted to his resourceful collie, in the famous TV series "Lassie" which aired in over 40 countries. He won the very prestigious Crystal Heart Award in his very first leading role in a feature film, "Summer of the Monkeys"  and the rest as we all know, is history.

The star of the popular martial arts show "Black Sash," Corey is a real martial arts expert.  Although known more for his karate prowess, in the show he features the highest form of martial arts -- Tai Chi -- not showy nor fancy at all but definitely more efficient. It's actually the same thing Christian Bale showed in "Equilibrium" if you take away the guns.

Besides martial arts, Corey likewise enjoys horseback riding, soccer, hockey, baseball, tennis and downhill skiing." - quoted from Realm of Citadel.

Here's a pic of him (younger about 14):

hi whillenwolf.

i once went on a weekend course led by a tai chi master.

he lived on a snowy mountain top in america but came to england to grade some students.

it was impressive to see his feats of agility and strength.

although it required 70 years of self-discipline, dedication and training to reach that supreme standard.

there's another young star who's an accomplished martial artist.

he's in an american tv series which has just started its run.

he's got an irritatingly tricksy web site - but don't tell him i said so.

pic is him attending LA premiere of uptown girls last year.

You mean he was 70 years old and he was still agile and strong?  I think I'll drink some of that tai chi stuff, too.   Grin

Oh, whillenwolf, I don't think I've ever seen "Summer of the Monkeys", either.

Thanks for mentioning it!

yes - he was in his late 70s.

i couldn't lead his sort of life - admirable tho' it was in many respects.

he'd get up at 04.00 hours on his mountain top, drink green tea - then meditate for three hours before the day's tai chi exercises.
