I saw the Godsend over the weekend and I liked it kind of.  The adult perfomances were terrible, but young Cameron was good. Some of the plot didn't make much sense like when the dad is knocked out in the church but is able to come back and save the mom at the right time. Yet I did find it creepy enough to enjoy it. I watched it on a homemade dvd. Usually I don't watch these. It was a pretty good copy the only thing was that the scenes that were in the dark you could not see at  all.

No "The", just "Godsend".  You mean the 2004 movie, right?

"The Godsend" is a 1980 movie.

Yeah, the boy was cute. I didn't like the ending though. S/th more horrifying would've been more appropiate. Smiley

I recently got my first look at Cameron in the Butterfly Effect but his role was too small to judge much.
I know he plays a part more central to the movie in Godsend but I'm waiting for a video release on this one.
The reviews of the movie have been universally bad.  Sad

Universally bad and rightly so. It's easily one of the worst films of the year. Totally generic and mediocre. It's pretty sad when you have actors of DeNiro's calibre looking ridiculous on screen. That shows to what extent the writers and director were inept.

As a result, I didn't think Cameron's performance was that great. But I can hardly blame it on him. If DeNiro couldn't do anything with the material and direction, I don't see why we should expect anything more from Cameron.

With a good screenplay and a good director, he might be able to turn in a decent performance. There certainly seemed to be that potential from what I could tell watching this turkey.

Smiley I saw again this movie this evening. I very liked the very good play of Cameron BRIGHT in part of Adam. My movie rating is 7/10.
