I'm trying to picture them without glasses, in my mind. I think maybe we'd recognize them then. Smiley

Well, maybe. I'm not coming up with any guesses yet, myself. Undecided

Love,
Sir J

The older boy is thinking of his younger self perhaps?

Or maybe the young fella simply marches to the beat of his own drum Grin

Close.

It is "Atlantis High", TV series from New Zealand.

Starring... Michael Wesley-Smith

From time to time he talks to his "inner child", played by James Ordish.

What a delightful idea! I'd love to see this series.

He resembles my inner child quite a bit, except mine has a bigger belly and a few gray hairs. Roll Eyes

Delightful idea indeed!

I'm all for the concept especially if one could conjure up one's 'inner child' in whatever form one prefers.

I talk with my inner child all the time. If I'm out of town, I talk with him by phone.

I seen that episode Smiley Speaking of "Inner child", here's a poem I wrote. It's kinda long, but reminiscent and funny, so it goes down easy Tongue

Dear old dude out there
Hope this message is clear
Cuz i'm writing it with my red crayon
Read this real carful
Cuz I say an ear full
To help out my dawg, get his play on

The wild inner child
That one U have filed
Under K for Keep quiet and hidden!?
Needs to be freed
He begs and he pleads
To be outside jokin and kiddin

I know turning adult
Is like joining a cult
And giving up simple life pleasures
Like comics and toys
Cartoons, making noise
And searching for Pirate's lost Treasure

I'm the kid that U stashed
When U grew that mustach
But I'm back with both magic and wonder
Re-See through my eyes
How Superman flies
And Thor is the Norse God of thunder

Imagination's a tree
In Ur room, U can't see
But still climb cause Ur lord of the monkeys
Jump around on Ur bed
Wear Ur draws on Ur head
Then sniff them and say "they're not funky!"

Remember when clowns
Could erase U sad frown
But still scare U in makeup not funny
Halloween's U dressed scary
Christmas recess was merry
And the tooth fairy's how U made money

A Sleep Over's the best
When Ur ten, because rest
U dont need when Ur amped up on sugar
And the first one to sleep
Was the first one to reap
What U planned to do with that big booger

Pillow fights turned to war
U hulked out and U tore
Off Ur shirt, to flex Ur puny muscles
Gave the biggest, best wedgies
And U hated those vegies
But the worst was a sprout they named brussel

Cartoons in the morning
Could never get boring
Especially the one's before school
Goofing off in the class
Was a blast but you passed
Every test because you were no fool

They're "Action figures!", Not dolls:P
You corrected Mom when she called
U to clean up Ur room
Stuffed junk under your bed
and your closet instead
Fooling mom or at least you assumed

Video games were a blast
Cuz they helped the time pass
By enticing you with their cool graphics
Gameboy was your friend
On which you could depend
Whether on a long trip or in traffic

All Holiday's ruled
Especially from school
Still the best was Ur summer vacation
Having some fun
With Ur friends in the sun
Was the meaning of life and creation

Riding Ur bike
Chased the girl that U liked
With a booger just picked from Ur nose
Playing handball and tag
Never failing to brag
When U won, turning friends into foes

Staying clean was real hard
Building forts in the yard
That required a password to enter
Getting real muddy
Dirt biking with buddies
Are things U that U missed in the winter

The white stuff still rocked
Standing ready and cocked
To sled down that hill at top speed
Snowballs ready to throw
Never eat yellow snow
A gross lesson that U learned indeed

Never grow up inside
Never have too much pride
To take that kid out of that file
U'll find Happy and fun
And regrets?..not a one!
Signed lovingly, Ur Inner child

Wow Rocketboy, that might be the best poem describing a boy's childhood that I've ever read! Grin

I liked every verse! I think this one was my favorite line, though:

But the worst was a sprout they named brussel.

I just love the way you said that. :bigok:

Love,
Sir J
