Thanks for the heads-up, hosenhaus. Smiley

Emma Thompson stars in the title role as a nanny with magical powers who enters the household of the recently widowed Mr Brown played by Colin Firth (Girl With A Pearl Earring, Love Actually) and tames his seven wayward children with astonishing results.

The film also stars Angela Lansbury (Beauty and the Beast, Murder, She Wrote) as Aunt Adelaide, Kelly MacDonald (JM Barrie's Neverland, Trainspotting) as Mr Brown's scullery maid Evangeline, and Thomas Sangster (Love Actually) as Simon, Mr Brown's eldest son. Newcomers Eliza Bennet, Jenny Daykin, Raphael Coleman, Sam Honeywood, and Holly Gibbs play the younger Brown children.

I guess it's going to be of interest with Thomas Sangster in it, for sure. Wink

Love,
Sir J

Smiley I saw again this very good movie this evening. I liked the very good play of Thomas SANGSTER in part of Simon and also the one of Raphaël COLEMAN and Sam HONYWOOD in parts of Eric and Sebastien. My movie rating is 8/10 !

As much as I love Asa Butterfield, I have to say this was the better of the 2 movies!

Yes, I agree this was the better movie though sequels rarely match the originals. I did, however, think that Eros Vlahos (wih a name like that is BA sure he was born in the UK?) who played the posh Cyril, was very good in the sequel.

Can't say I know the answer to that one! I'm not very knowledgeable on UK actors. Smiley

Yes, Eros was born in the UK - in London to be precise. Vlahos appears to be a relative common name, although of Greek origin, it goes back in the UK to at least the 1920s. The first immigrants appear to have settled in Wales.
Eros is, of course, also Greek.
