I notice that this movie has been posted in the BA newsgroup. I haven't had a chance to d/load it yet but after reading the comments by a reviewer on IMBd I think I might make the effort.

I've made a profile but IMBd is not very helpful with the cast. I've used what info hosenhaus provided with the above pics...

When I've d/loaded the movie and had a look at the cast list, I'll try to add more info.

As there are only 7 pics I think I'll leave this thread as is and transfer it to the Movie Reviews forum...

and add the following review from IMBD:

_______________________________________________

I wish I had pink eyes . . .

Simple and magnificent and as far as an appeal to the better angels of our nature, there has been few better appeals made than this substantially sensational BBC production.

If I was moving my tiny tot from the didactic ecclesiastical stories of Judeo-Christian decency towards the literary expositions of vertically delivered truths, notions of propriety and stories of faith 'Shadow on the Earth,' would be next watched. There are a few films--often for reasons beyond even the writers, directors and actors--that transcend the inconsequential packing-gelatin in which they are presented and say a little something more than naught. 'October Sky' is one; and one before it is 'Shadow on the Earth.'

Though 'it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks' (Acts 9:5) who stock the shells with rubbish and less besides, this one is worth the requesting and pressing beyond the obligatory 'non possumus' which rescues the uninspired and indolent from effort.

A supremely lovely film.

Hehe.. Grin

That reviewer is certainly in love with his own word knowledge. Cheesy

I think he could have just said this:
A supremely lovely film.

Thanks, hosenhaus, for the pics you posted, and for bringing it to our attention. And thanks, cal, for sharing that review, even though it seemed more ecclesiastic than didactic, itself. Wink

Love,
Sir J

I notice he left any other potential reviewers speechless.
