Boy & his cat movie?

Sometime in the last 10 years TongueI caught a movie on cable about a boy who accidentally invokes an ancient Egyptian spell that turns his pet cat into a man.  The movie is nuthin' special, except for a cute boy with a cute voice, in shorts. I cannot remember the name of the movie or the names of any of the actors. Does this ring a bell with anyone?

I think it might be 'Whiskers'

... a brand of cat food that my cat eats.

If you go to the IMDb link and watch the trailer that they link to, it looks like a really dumb movie.  But, it's easy to see why YA would have remembered it. Michael Caloz was really cute in it.  Smiley

He looked a lot like Jeremy Licht in that Twilight Zone movie, or like Barret Oliver in Frankenweenie, in this movie.  Not bad!   Grin

Well, I don't guess he really looked like those two, but at least one of the facial expressions that I saw him make during the video clip reminded me of both of those actors, in those roles.

Love,
Sir J

Thank you! Yes that is definitely it. Yegods, I couldn't think of that title. I would like to see it again just to see the scene in Michael's bedroom where he is wielding a baseball bat and trying to chase the 'guy' out of his room. He was jumping all over the bedroom in his shorts/undies(?)  I had forgotten that he had expected his cat to become a boy his own age but that the cat was much older in cat years.

Now my mind is free to chase down other weighty matters. Grin

I would rather my cat stay my cat. She is better than many people.
