I do lot of movie review this week for database and I seen some body say Ricky Schroder cant act.

Mabey he is in films I dont see and dont do good acting but in movies I see especially "The Champ" he is very good.  He cry and do lot of things very hard for actors.  I read book wrote by Jackie Cooper and he say how dificult it is to cry when suposed to in film. 

I also see on Disney channel "Last flight of Noahs Ark" and also seen "Earthling" I think on HBO.  In both films Ricky Schroder do good acting.  I dont know any thing else he act in but movies I seen he is good and I think can act good not bad.

I have got the dvd "the champ" (with french subtitles ). I haven't seen yet but what you say give me the desire of watching it.

Being a fan of Ricky I have to say of course he can act 

For someone who started out as young as Rickster, we ought to consider his age when we evaluate his work. I mean Haley's performance in FG is no way comparable to his performance in AI or the Sixth Sense.

Having said that, Ricky did  hold his own in scenes with Jon Voight. Not many young actors could do that.
