Sprouse twins fans, you will be amazed by this movie.   Up until now, I've always thought of the Sprouses as cute cut-ups - either on sitcoms or big Hollywood movies that are really 2 hour sitcoms with a big budget.  Of course they're cute and people love them, but do they really have any talent?

The answer in this movie is, unquestionably, yes.  Cole and Dylan get to play a formerly abandoned kid who is seized from his well-off and loving foster parents by stern-faced social workers.  He's then returned to his crazy, wild-living real mom, who has no money and jumps around from one apartment and boyfriend and drug experience to the next.   That is, unless his evangelical grandparents have anything to say about it.

Cole and/or Dylan (I can't tell them apart here or nearly anywhere else) have a major role in this film.  They go through some tough scenes of abuse and a whole range of changing lifestyles and situations.  I thought they did a terrific job, and even when things got almost too bizarre to believe, they made it all seem real.

After I read some terrible reviews about this movie, including people walking out of it in the Toronto Film Festival, I had low expectations. I figured we'd get to see the Sprouses in drag and then there would be "the rest of the movie" however bad it might be.  But as it turns out, this is a pretty good movie with a very good performance from the twins as one character.  This film will forever change your opinion of the Sprouses as actors.

Tartan films are planning a UK cinema release - although how many cinemas will chose to screen it is another matter.

Beautiful film about love and madness. Dylan is indeed fabulous in it.

I saw this film last month in a film festival. The producer mentioned that it has secured an American distributor (TLA) as well.
I can't imagine the film getting real wide distribution though.
I was very impressed with the acting talent displayed by Jimmy Bennett in the earlier scenes. I confess that I spent most of the twins time on screen trying to work out who was playing the particular scene.

I was disappointed that a film which casts itself as such an edgy indie wimped out on the seduction scene (by using Asia Argento instead of Cole).

I will agree that the work was more demanding than most of the twins previous films....though that isn't saying much.

SmileyThe first time where I seen Jimmy BENNETT to play, it is in this movie. He is the revelation and, since, I like to see  the play of this young actor. This story is very exciting but very hard. Jimmy BENNETT  is gived much to himself for to play Jéremiah 7 years-old. Also for Cole and Dylan SPROUSE in Jérémiah 11 years-old. One movie what I like very much !
