Does anyone know how to capture images on a PC? As I've got quite a few DVD caps I would like to make. If someone could get back to me I'd be very grateful. Thanks  Smiley

If you are just using Windows Media Player or another viewer that does not have a capture program, I recommend CaptureWizzardPro. It gives you a ton of options to how you want to have it captured and is very good.

(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

But mostly, for DVD, I would recommend PowerDVD to playback and capture your pictures. It will also let you go frame by frame forwards and backwards with a DVD.

(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

They both have free trial software.

PowerDVD is also good for capturing from DVD's.

A couple of good free media players available on the net are the 'Modified Media Player Classic' and 'BSPlayer'. Both are excellent for making caps from .avi and .mpg files.

Paintshop Pro's Animation Shop is also a good tool for making caps from .mpg files.

If you have a TV card in your computer, you may also be able to make caps very easily using a program called WinFastPVR. With this program I can capture anything I want from TV, DVD, CD, VHS, etc.

I had no idea that Media Player Classic had a capture mode. I will download the latest version today. I use it to view almost all of my AVI and MPG files. Thank you!
