Other than Lost in Space and Star Trek, this was my favorite sci-fi program. It was fun to watch Joey grow several inches over the course of the short life span of the program. I have been waiting for a long time to see this come out on DVD. I just hope it is a good quality transfer so I can do some vid-caps.

I've never seen the show, but it looks alright.

I recently watched the complete mini-series and first season of Battlestar Galactica (remake) and I have to say I was very, very impressed by the show. I was never a fan of the original and didn't think the remake would be any good either, but it's actually suprisingly intelligent, with some good acting, very well developed characters, and a fascinating storyline.

BUT... they completely cut all of Boxey's scenes from the series. He shows up for a few brief moments in the mini-series, but his character was flushed from the series. They did shoot several scenes with him, but they were edited out. These will be available to watch on the upcoming DVD release. I've already seen them and they're OK. Too bad they decided to remove his character from the show. They probably had too much material and needed time to focus on the other, more important characters. I'd say in the end it was a good decision, but for us fans of boy actors, it kind of sucks.

I liked Earth II a lot...

It was a serious pity that it only lasted a single season. Joey was good in it and he made quite an impression.

The new Battlestar Galactic is IMO the best sci-fi series ever.  Pity about Boxey's character being deleted but I really don't mind when a series is this good. Hopefully the series will last for several seasons... and perhaps they can fit Boxey in occasionally.

Science fictyion has really been a hard sell for primetime TV over the last decade or 2.  Guess it requires a longer attention span than the adcertisers would like people to have to take in their 30 second blurbs.
