Thanks for the link.

I'm looking forward to this. Not sure it was really necessary to do another version of Oliver Twist at this time, but I'm certainly not going to complain. Especially not when it's coming from a talented director like Polanski.

The only problem with a movie like this, that is directed by such a brilliant director, is that one's expectations are so high.

All the various Olivers have been done quite well...  I've never seen a bad version.

Once this movie is seen it will be interesting to see how it compares to the others. I can't imagine it being better than the David Lean version but I'm hopeful it will compare favourably.

Computer allow me for log in my name and it dont turn off and it is let me do post. 

Oliver Twist best story I like musical most not old one that dont got color or songs.

I love songs in movie about pick a pocket or two and other song about Id do any thing.

I seen magazine that got big article about Roman Polanski and it make me wonder how he able to be director of movies that got kids. 

I like Oliver Twist its very good story but how come this book make into film many many times and other movie like Old Yeller only make it one time.

I think the story of Oliver Twist is in the 'public domain' which would mean that anyone can make a film about Oliver Twist without needing permission by a copyright owner.

I suspect that Disney owns the copyright to Old Yeller, which prevents anyone else doing a remake.

Cal it make me wonder why disney do not make Old Yeller again because they make Freaky Friday two times and I like Old Yeller lots more than that.  And is also disney make Shaggy Dog two times.

I think that part of the reason Jasen is because Old Yeller has a sort of western feel to it and westerns don't sell tickets any more.  Sad

How long is it?  The trouble with movie versions of "Oliver Twist" (like movie versions of "Huckleberry Finn") is that you have to abridge the story to fit in the time of a movie.  The exception I guess was the 1962 BBC miniseries version of "Oliver Twist" with 13 episodes,

This version is supposed to be 128 minutes long per the Toronto International Film Festival website.

It's scheduled to play there on Sunday afteroon.

A lot of the early stuff in the book is usually left out. If I remember correctly in the mini series, Oliver wasn't even born by the end of the first episode.  128 minutes sounds like a good enough length though.
