Valo is a new Nordic release coming up this fall. Vili Järvinen plays the title character.

This synopsis is extracted from the Finnish Film Foundation....

Valo is a touching film for children between 8 and 12 along with their parents. The film is based on a true story. It tells a Charles Dickens-like story of Valo, the talented 9-year-old son of a chimney sweep, who through the chimneys brings hope of a better future to the children living in poverty and misery.

The uniqueness of the film Valo arises from the initial material it was built on: the script is based on a child´s authentic diaries written over a hundred years ago. This starting point presents a child´s point of view. The story interprets freely the childhood diaries of an artist and philosopher Aleksanteri Ahola-Valo, written in 1908–1910.

Although the story takes place in historical time, it tells a universal story where the essential thing is not the time and the place, but instead the things that happen between people, between children and adults, especially between fathers and sons.

This look like very good movie Zabladowski.  It seem strange to have job like sweep chimney and get very dirty to do it but in story he try to help other kids who are very poor.  I hope can see it on dvd.
