An absurd comedy made in Estonia (2005). Will be released in September. It is an absurd take on freedom fight (estoniansfighting against the Teutonic Order). The main character is named Uru who is sent to Germany as a child. When he comes back, he warns estonians and takes the lead role in the fight. Kust Laid (whi is I think 12 years old) plays the role of young Uru

Welcome aboard! I hope you like the place and stay with us.

As for the picture of Kirst, were did you get it? There is no link that I can find to a personal web site. Is the picture from the movie? The cast picture of him, from the movies site, shows him with short hair.

What a nice introduction, Bohemian!  Smiley

Thanks for bringing this movie to our attention. I'll be looking for it on the festival circuit this year.

I wrote his name wrong in the last post. It's Kusti Laid not Kust Laid.. Anyway, it's a cast photo from the movies official website (which is not available in english). There's one other photo of him there but you can't really see his face.

The official site is located at (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links) if you're interested. There's also a trailer there (located under Klipid). And yes, it's supposed to look exactly that fake. It's kind of Monty Pythonish..

Thanks bohemian,

A very impressive first thread by you. Hopefully Kusti Laid lasts for a while (in the movie) before his character grows up.  I love the flower in his hair..   Smiley

Well, I have seen it now. Can't say I'm impressed. I think it would only make sense to natives. The humour is sometimes crude and sometimes not funny at all. I suppose it's kind of Monty Pythonish at times and managed to get a few chuckles out of me in a couple of places but overall it was kind of stupid. I can only speak for myself of course because a lot of people I have talked to seemed to like it. Now Kusti Laid, who playes the younger version of Uru lasts for about 6-7 minutes and he doesn't talk much. I think he still did a good job with what he was given. Anyway, I would give this movie 3/10 for the enthusiasm it was made with and a couple of funny moments here and there. I can make a few screencaps too if anyone's interested, just so you'd get the general idea.

Bohemian,

If you are still around some screen caps would certainly be appreciated by me at least. I've been busy lately and haven't had time to reply to posts.  Anyway thanks for the update on this movie. I guess everyone else is either busy or navel gazing.

Depends how many you post...

... if a small number put them here, if into double digits put them in the Gallery Forum and I'll create a Gallery on his profile.   Smiley

Hmmm,  if the pics actually look larger on your computer, perhaps you have your picture viewer settings on 'full screen' or 'enlarge to fit browser' or a similiar setting.

Anyway, thanks for trying Smiley

They still look pretty good.

Thanks for that.  Smiley

Once you have reached 10 posts you may notice a 'paper clip' shaped icon appear which allows you to upload images directly to the forum, if you want, rather than having to use an image hosting site such as Photobucket.
