Looks interesting!

Thanks for the link...  I've started downloading it.

How nice to see a film-maker allowing such a large download (315MB) of one of his works.

I'd like to know what others think of this film.

I thought it was pretty good for a low budget film...  the story was strong enough to keep my attention.

The boys are appealing.. particularly Nile Arena in the lead role, also John Morgan Pfeifer.

Acting is a bit rough at times but not too bad considering they would not have had the luxury of countless takes to get it perfect.

Worth downloading coz it will never make it to TV.

Downloaded & watched (with a nap in between  Smiley)

(Implicit SPOILERS below)
A heck of a fine short movie, I thought. I certainly responded to the peer pressure theme. I am baffled when I come up against this kind of storyline and wonder why social pressures on kids today are so intense as to drive so many into a place where they see no way out. Its as if there were no alternatives for lonely kids and they have no way of backing away from the struggle. It was bad in my day too, of course, and I see now that I quickly gave up trying to be 'in' and fell back on my own interests and hobbies in private or leaned on favored relatives at times. Also, I can now realize why I saw so many movies.

I wonder if Scott Schirmer is working under grants? I see that he is selling DVDs to cover expenses with no profit. I wonder how he is surviving as a filmmaker.

Watched and enjoyed immensely.

I had seen Nicholas Abeel before in the weak Old No. 587: The Great Train Robbery, this performance was much better. Nile Arena did a great job in the lead role, it's a shame he was not able to land anything else.

The writing and characterizations were pretty good, but not stylistically perfect which made them more real and therefore upsetting to me. A fine example of no budget midwestern filmmaking.
