A young Zorro

Has anyone seen the ads for the new Zorro film coming out later this month? It should catch your eye because the masked dude now has a young son to follow in his footsteps. I'm not sure who the young(gorgeous)actor is-and if anyone can shed any light on who he is it would be appreciated-but he looks to be immitating dad quite well. The previews show him strutting around like a master swordsman and he seems to kick some butt, and he appears to have an engaging personality(just think of the youngster in "The Mummy 2" and you'll get sort of an idea). If anyone has seen the ads please let me know who this doll is. Vielen Danke!

Not my kind of movie; personally I would avoid those ads at all costs so thanks for the alert.

IMDB states the boy is Adrian Alonso, who some here might have seen as Chele (one of Chava's friends) in Voces inocentes.

Recent ads have featured him more than older ones.
Maybe the market research told them to do that...

Is this him?

From 'Innocent Voices'.  I've got that movie but only half watched it when I was dead tired. It looked very good though.

A nice picture that one is, but it looks like Chava (Carlos Padilla) to me. I saw this back in March and my memory's a little hazy.

Here's a picture of Adrian I found at Moviekids....

I doubt it's from Voces innocentes though  Cheesy

Thanks...  yup that must be him.  I better watch the movie properly. I notice we don't have a profile for it either..  ???

That pic is from 'Innocent Voices'...  it's cropped from this production still:

A posed production still but not a capture of a scene from the movie, correct?

I just don't remember a whole lot of mischievious
cheerfulness in that film.  ???

Yup... definitely not from the actual film, rather an 'on the set posed shot'.

The young actor playing Zorro's son is Adrian Alonso
who currently starts in a mexican kids soap opera "Pablo y Andrea" now showing here in Mexico but will probably air on US cable soon.  In the show he plays the younger brother of the main character Pablo.
Besides the new Zorro movie and the tv series, Adrian also starts in the just released movie "Al Otro Lado".  Here is a link to his page on the series site, he is the younger one in the photo. He may look a bit different than in the "Zorro" preview because here he has spiky hair-do

(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

He has been intreviewed a couple of times on local news because of both movies.

Thank you very much for the information, memo.

It doesn't seem very likely that the Mexican soap will play on American cable TV. That doesn't usually happen. But hopefully that other movie you talked about will be released on DVD and we'll get a chance to see more of Adrian Alonso.

There are American cable channels that broadcast in Spanish language only.  More popular in some regions of the US than others, of course.  For example "Univision"

Oh, true. I didn't think of that.

What I meant, though, is that it's unlikely it will be translated and broadcast for the English-speaking audience in North America.

Thanks for the additional information, memo.

It's great to see your name here. :bigok:

You have helped me learn about many great films I might never have discovered were it not for you.

Do you know whether or not Un Secreto de Esperanza has ever been released to video?
I know many here would be interested but it doesn't seem to have ever been released..... in the US anyway.

Thanks for the welcome  Grin

"Un Secreto de Esperanza" has not been released on DVD or video that I know, I have been waiting for it or any news of a release.  The movie took a couple of years to make it to theathers I hope it does not take as long to be available on DVD.
I'll share here any new info I may find.

saludos
