Taking a different approach to your second question, in order to prove talent to that new studio owner, I would show him the complete works of Freddie Bartholomew, Bobby Driscoll, John Howard Davies, Joseph Mazzello, and Juan Jose Ballesta. I don't remember any of these guys ever giving a poor performance.
