(CAL)  I can see myself sitting here for days browsing through thousands of titles comparing different versions of movies...

Yet another list to make.

And it's all Jasen's fault

You make me laugh very much cal.   if you got lots movies that is same and make film a second time I like to know what movies it is and if you like first movie or second time better.

the director of the latest `pride and prejudice` movie says he hadn't read the book before making the movie.

an unusual approach to a classic text!

You know what it was, I wasn't angry - I was afraid. I thought, 'After all these years, it's still there.'" Steven Spielberg Quashes Mary Poppins Rumours.

STEVEN SPIELBERG has played down rumours he is planning to remake MARY POPPINS.

The SAVING PRIVATE RYAN director was linked to the project by SIR RICHARD EYRE, the director of the London stage show of Mary Poppins.

He said, "Spielberg wants to make a new film of Mary Poppins and we've talked about it a lot.

"It will be hard to outdo the original but kids love the story and I'm sure that the remake will be a real success."

But Spielberg's representative MARVIN LEVY counters, "I never heard of this and couldn't imagine Steven ever doing a remake of a classic - and a Disney classic at that.

"There's a Broadway show from Disney but nothing involving us in any way."

london-based journalist norman lebrecht counsels caution; he saw the remake of `the producers` and he isn't necessarily impressed by remakes:

from yesterday's daily mirror :

30 January 2006

OMEN'S NEW DEVIL CHILD

(and he's coming to a cinema near you on 6/6/6)

By David Edwards

HE might look an angel but newcomer Seamus Davey- Fitzpatrick is a little Devil in a remake of 1976 horror flick The Omen.

Starring Julia Stiles, David Thewlis and Pete Postlethwaite The Omen 666 is to be released in summer - on 06/06/06. It's a diabolical number, let's hope it's not a bad omen.

cute - but ultra-scary.

for 6.6.06 protection, i'll be lining my abode with pages from the Bible!!!

Damn apple!

As I read your post just above... the thought of the inevitability of the approaching sixes:

...the sixth second of the sixth minute, of the sixth hour, of the sixth day, of the sixth month, of the sixth year of the millennium

that's a 666, 666 whammy!

I glanced at my tv and what the crappity smack did I see, yup, the numbers, 666, a screening of the original Omen was just concluding. I'm still alive though...

..or am I?
