Print

If you're wondering how to capture images from a DVD you are watching on the DVD drive of your computer, there are several ways to do it.

The Print Screen button is one option, but it's definitely not the best. What that does is take an image of the entire screen, so not necessarily just image that you want, but possibly everything around it also. It doesn't get saved as a file that you can access on your computer. You have to then open any bitmap editor (MS paint, for example) and paste the image on the blank canvas, then save the file wherever you want it. It's time consuming and doesn't yield the best results.

A much easier way is to use the screen capture function in the software you are using to view the DVD (PowerDVD or whatever you're using).

I don't remember exactly how it works or where the file is saved, but it's not very hard to figure out. It's as easy as clicking a button, or typing a shortcut on the keyboard.

Someone else can probably give you more details. It's been a while since I watched DVDs on a PC.

I really advise you to purchase PowerDVD. It has a superior quality picture and has a screen capture program in it that is very easy to use. It also allows you to choose were you want the captured pictures to go. It also has a frame by frame view.
