...definitely not Guiness.

Medlock perhaps?

In that pic he reminds me of Jonathan Brandis.

I knew that!    Roll Eyes

Do you think that is his only movie?

IMBd credits him with several entries... none of which I'm convinced is the same person as the boy in 'Alec to the Rescue.'

DVD released in the US.

A movie for the kiddies--if you expect anything profound, you'll be disappointed.

Single-father archeologist sends his son Alec to boarding school in England while he goes around the world seeking whatever.  Most recently, Dad went to South Africa to dig up ancient Chinese sailing ships in the Kalahari Desert (don't ask).

Alec comes to visit Dad during the holidays, but Dad has been kidnapped by the bad guys who want to get their hands on the treasures found under the sand.

So ... Alec to the rescue!

He gets help from a street kid he meets in the airport.

Why not?  Almost all of them are voice roles.  Plus it is easy to believe he was the double for the kid in "The Winslow Boy".

That 1985 date is too early, but that is the date for the Japanese movie...maybe the English dubbing is much more recent.

Thanks for the info and summary Hosenhaus.

I'm not afraid of a lack of profundity, so onto the Netflix list it goes.  Smiley
