Renfro Pleads Not Guilty to Drug Charge

Actor Brad Renfro entered a plea of not guilty to a charge of attempted felony drug possession after a brief appearance in a Los Angeles courtroom yesterday morning. Renfro was arrested last month after allegedly trying to buy heroin from undercover officers during a sting operation in the 'skid row' section of Los Angeles. The Apt Pupil star has been free on bail since his arrest in December and is currently in a drug treatment program, according to his lawyer. Renfro is scheduled to appear in court again next month.

I don't understand why movie stars would need to buy drugs from undercover agents. Don't they have any reliable connections? You'd think it wouldn't be that hard to find in the entertainment world.

That why stars always steal drugs, etc to get in jail for security alarms because they're bad like Brad Renfro was addicted to it and they have connections for jail history.

He's pleading 'Not Guilty'...  that's interesting.

I sure hope he doesn't go to jail if he's found guilty. If he is an addict then he needs proper help. If he's a casual user then perhaps a few hours of community service as a penalty. I'm firmly against jail sentences for using drugs.
