The name Skander is of Turkish origin meaning Alexander; oddly enough his character Edmund Pevensie in The Chronicles of Narnia is obsessed with a delicacy called Turkish Delight.

(Didn't even realise the board was back until recently so months of pining over its demise for no reason !)

The first movie was shown in hi-definition on the UK BBC HD Channel, looked very good and retained its proper aspect ratio, Skandar oozing early-teen boy appeal.  Didn't bother with the second movie because Skandar was hardly in it, screen time going to some boring hunky Prince Caspian who all but killed off the franchise.
