I recently saw Where Eskimos Live and I was very impressed with the performance of the Polish actor Sergiusz Zymelka.  Check out the reviews for the movie and Sergiusz's gallery in BoyActors.

It is truly unfortunate that Sergiusz was never cast in anything that got out of Eastern Europe after Eskimos. His performance was so strong, I'd sure like to have seen some of his other work.

For those who enjoyed Where Eskimos Live and would have liked to see more of Sergiusz in a movie, apparently Wtorek is the only other feature film in which Sergiusz had an extended and important role.  Sergiusz played the son of a man who opens a strip tease club.  The role did not demand great acting, but Sergiusz played it well.  The movie is available for download from eMule.

I loved Sergiusz in Where Eskimo's Live.  He gives one of the strongest performances I've seen from a boy actor.  I wanted to include him at DSOB, but never managed to get him in before they pulled the plug.  Sad

That's me among others, Zab. Thanks for the alert! It took me a while to realize I hadn't seen it. I have heard and read so much about it I felt as if I had.  Grin

I've come to appreciate Bob Hoskins work too. He is quite an actor.
