I read The Talisman three years ago and it would definitely make an awesome movie. So I've been keeping a close eye on the cinematic adaptation ever since it was mentioned at imdb.

What I can't grasp is that some of the actors in the list for Jack's character are actually 20 years or even older. How's that gonna work? Jack's twelve years old!  Shocked

The next Stephen King adaptation that will hit the screen soon is Desperation with Shane Haboucha.

It's not. People are stupid. They forget that children grow up. I still see people discussing the possibility of Jake Lloyd playing Ender in the (probably not-going-to-happen) adaptation of Ender's Game. They don't seem to be able to comprehend that he was only mentioned by the author as a possible choice like 10 years ago.

People are stupid and this always happens. As interesting as those speculations may be, they have next to nothing to do with reality.

While I certainly agree with that thought joseph, Logan lerman isn't a bad choice from the public at large. The last time we discussed this he had YA's vote. I thought he was too old already then.

Although I liked Oliver Davis and I still think he would work, I might now consider...









I still don't know who would make a good Rational Richard though.  ???

Even Logan Lerman is too old. Recent pictures of him testify to the fact that he could not pass for a 12 year old.

Logan would have been perfect around the time of Butterfly Effect. He looks MUCH too old for the character these days. Did you see pictures of him from Hoot?

He's a very handsome adolescent, but doesn't look like he's 12. And that was probably shot about a year ago.

I like Zab's assortment. Tyler Patrick Jones comes closest to my imagination of Jack I think. Still the other three boys would easily fit as well.

I'd be very disappointed in case of a miscast for Jack's part. Let's hope that they find the smartest and most handsome young lad.

On behalf of the three of us I submitted Tyler Patrick Jones to the list of casting suggestions.

My choices Andreas were based almost solely on appearance, although I think Tyler has some talent.
I was looking for someone who had longer brown hair, attractive features and who was actually 12 years old.

I also decided to go with Ridge Canipe as my nominee for Rational Richard although I think Cameron Bright might work in that role as well.
