In a house near the cemetery of a small town during the sixties, an eleven year old meditative kid named Frula grows up surrounded by the sounds of posthumous marches, and of the bells from a graveyard chapel.

His family is as well "stimulating": his grumpy father, all-too-caring mother, oppositional grandmother, skeptic sister, superior school friends, and Frula has to prove himself by fighting for his position.
