Is there anyone who has seen Stephen King's Desperation by now? I've been looking for the DVD when I was in New York City, but I didn't manage to get it. I remember the book to be absolutely magnificent.

I saw the movie on TV yesterday.

My verdict...  the first half is good. The second half is terrible, over-the-top, not scary, predictable, lame, stupid and soooo damn preachy.  Is Steven King a reborn Christian?

The preaching was the scariest stuff...

I have yet to see it. Cal's enthusiastic endorsements always get me curious.  Grin

Actually, I think Stephen King is a reluctant Christian, its in his Yankee bones and he's ticked off about it.
