I saw a Russian movie called "Vovochka" a couple of weeks ago. It was pretty funny. Does anyone have any Russian language films to recommend? I'm partial to comedies. I'm learning Russian and so it's fun to have a movie every now and then to see how I'm progressing. I recorded "Vovochka" so I can watch it again in a few months to see how my Russian is progressing. I can say this much, it was a very polite movie as I heard the Russian words for please/your-welcome and thank you several times.

I don't think any of the Russian films featuring boys that I've seen were comedies.

For a good Russian comedy that doesn't feature boys (as far as I remember) you might want to check out a movie called The Wedding.

Freeze, Die, Come To Life

Kindergarten (1985)

Mirror / Zerkalo  (1976)



Interestingly enough, will be receiving a dozen or so related films from Russia within the next few days, so will try to get a few of these listed after viewing them.
