This old Russian film doesn't seem to be in our data base, but stars two young boys, (Viktor Koval & Anatoli Ptichkin).

Excellent movie about two rural boys and their sister, who try to maintain their own home without parental authority, but end up in a seemingly better place.

Thanks for the alert.

Quite a lot of old on topic movies seem to be emerging from places like Russia and China. Someone should tell the Russians there's a pretty sizeable audience out there if they'd bother to put English subs on their DVDs.
