Yet another version of Huck Finn, this one is new to me, available on ebay.

The Lost Boy" DVD

Original title: Sovsem propashchiy

Country / Year: Soviet Union, 1972

Movie plot: Russian version of the Mark Twain classic starring the blondest Huck Finn, roughly ten years old. A generally entertaining film which should be easy enough for non-Russian speakers to follow if they are at all acquainted with "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn". Bonus features include rare on the set photos.

Director: Georgi Daneliya Starring: Roman Madyanov, Yevgeni Leonov

Region: This is a region-free PAL disc.
Picture format: 2.22:1
Audio: Russian DD 5.1, Russian DD 1.0

They are two totally different films, Cal.  You obviously know that.

But as discussed in a previous thread (last year some time), there is an unedited version of "Priklyucheniya Toma Soyera i Geklberri Finna"  and it comes in a 2-disc set.  The version sold in the western world is edited nearly in half.

The movie is 3 hours 45 minutes in length.
