Dunno, but I'm keen to see it. It has kicked up some controversy over its alleged athiest leanings which I highly approve of.

Cal: Yeah, doesn't look like there's a whole lot of boy content in the film, but it seems worth a look anyway. The animation of the CGI characters looks really lame based on the trailer, but since it's a fantasy maybe it wouldn't be as distracting while watching the movie as it is in the trailer.

I don't expect to see it anytime soon. I've just been too busy. I don't remember the last time I went to the cinema. It was probably more than six months ago.

Of course. But that's from someone who has actually read the books. That's not what the Catholic League says: "The author of this children's fantasy is Philip Pullman, a noted English atheist. It is his objective to bash Christianity and promote atheism. To kids."

They're also saying that the reason the anti-Christian elements have been toned down in the film is because they serve as "bait" to draw kids to the books, which will then turn them into atheists.

Having seen the film now... The other boy is Charlie Rowe and he plays Billy Costa. And Ben plays Roger. You might already know that, but I thought I'd mention that anyway. They have ok size roles, not very big, but they're quite important I think.
