Okay, this is probably the last time we'll get to talk about a NEW film that Thomas has been in... and yes, he's too old in "real life" but not the character he played... so let's count this movie fair game, shall we?

Anyway, I DID see this movie, and I thought Thomas did a fantastic job. The premise of the movie is not quite in line with "history" but I really could imagine him as the last Roman emperor.  He was a fragile boy but also somehow had an authority about him, especially in the end.

I have no way to upload any images or anything, but he's started to mature very nicely.

I really liked this movie, even though not historically accurate, but then I'd watch anything with Thomas Sangster in it.  If you just want some entertainment with a bit of action and a truly beautiful boy, then The Last Legion is for you.

OrionPax, thanks ever so much for the pictures.

This is a wonderful boy film, wonderful because the you can just sit back and let the plot, historically inaccurate as it is, just waft over you. A fine and entertaining film with a great boy actor, Thomas Sangster, taking the lead as Romulus, the last of the Roman Emperors. Thomas provides a fine performance with sword fights galore, humour and adventure. The whole thing is neatly tied in with the King Arthur legend. Colin Firth and Ben Kingsley offer good support. The only letdown is the woman warrior played by Aishwarya Rai who looks as though she's just stepped out of a beauty parlour! The scene in the opening where Romulus is standing on the giant statue is dramatic as is the humour when he gets dunked in the water trough by the Roman guards.

A lovely movie. He was 15 playing 12 I believe. At 15 I would have been humiliated to play and be seen as younger child. Like I said in (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links) (13 playing 9 in Incredibly Loud and Extremely Close), I wonder how young actors feel when put into such potentially awkward or embarrassing situations.
