Thanks for bumping this thread. I just rewatched that French commercial where he's talking on the phone to the girl. It's really hilarious.

Thanks for the trailer for Un Château en Espagne, too. Mediocre reviews or not, I think it looks like an all right film. Probably not brilliant, but the two boys are so charming that it's surely worth seeing. I wish they would release it in North America.

By the way, TheSwede, the reason this page is not linked from the profile is that I didn't start it in the reviews section. I guess one of the moderators could move it to the Actors board, but then it still wouldn't be linked, since it's about the actor, not the specific film.

Un ticket pour l'espace
2006 France

A comedy (with comedic variants of scenes from many recent movies). A seat on the first French mission to outer space is offered to the public.  Cardoux gets the winning ticket.  His 10-year-old son Hugo is played by Martin Jobert.

Hugo buys the ticket as a birthday present for his dad.  Later, when Cardoux wants to drop out, thinking the training is too hard, Hugo convinces him to stay in.  ["At the pool I said it was too hard and wanted to quit.  But you wouldn't let me, and now I can swim."] Once, when ground control loses contact with the astronauts in space, Hugo just calls his dad on his cell phone.
